Messaging program

Text message updates

IM4Grace LLC sends a small number of transactional text messages on behalf of licensed funeral homes. This page describes who receives them, what they contain, how permission is obtained, and how to stop them.

Who receives messages

Families

A family member receives messages only when the funeral home handling their arrangements has asked for permission and the family member has agreed. The messages come on behalf of that funeral home and identify it by name.

Transfer drivers

Drivers employed by a transfer service receive their assignment details by text. Drivers provide their mobile number to their employer for this purpose as part of their work.

How permission is obtained

Permission is collected verbally, by funeral home staff, during the first telephone call with the family.

After transport arrangements have been settled, the funeral director asks the family member whether they would like to receive text message updates while their loved one is being brought into the funeral home's care. If the family member agrees, they provide their mobile number during that call.

The funeral director then records that permission in our platform for that specific case. Recording it is a required step, timestamped and attributed to the staff member who obtained it. Our system will not create or send any message to a family member unless that step has been completed for that case.

Permission is never assumed, never carried over from one case to another, and never obtained by IM4Grace directly. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise acquire phone numbers, and we do not send messages to anyone who has not been asked by their funeral home.

What the messages say

Messages are transactional status notices. They contain no marketing, no promotions, no solicitations, and no requests for reviews or referrals. A family typically receives two messages in total.

Sent to a family when the driver is on the way:

[Funeral Home Name]: Our driver is on the way. You can follow the status here: https://im4grace.com/f/xxxxxxxx — Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.

Sent to a family on arrival at the funeral home:

[Funeral Home Name]: Your loved one has arrived and is in our care. We will be in touch shortly. Reply STOP to opt out.

Sent to a driver when a transfer is assigned:

IM4Grace: New transfer assigned. Pickup at [location]. Open your assignment: https://im4grace.com/d/xxxxxxxx — Reply STOP to opt out.

Message frequency

Messages are sent only in connection with a specific transfer. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging. A family member typically receives two messages relating to one transfer, and nothing after that. Drivers receive messages only when work is assigned to them.

How to stop receiving messages

Reply STOP to any message. This takes effect immediately and no further messages will be sent to that number.

You may also tell the funeral home directly, by phone or in person, that you no longer wish to receive messages. Funeral home staff can disable notifications for the case at once.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. For questions about a specific case, contact your funeral home directly.

Cost

IM4Grace does not charge families or drivers anything for these messages. Message and data rates from your own mobile carrier may apply.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile numbers collected for this purpose are used only to send the messages described on this page. They are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See our privacy policy for details.
